The Man From Snowy River
End Titles
Many of you will remember this classic Australian horse film made back in 1982. The soundtrack became a hit in Australia and won the 1982 best musical score from the Australian Film Institute. I can see why. The score composed and conducted by Bruce Rowland, is just magnificent. The album has beautiful piano sonata's, folksy cues, exciting chase music, and a catchy main theme. Some of the best cues include Main Theme, The Chase, Jessica's Sonata, and End Titles. I highly recommend looking into this album.

Jessica's Sonata #2
Bruce Rowland returned to compose this sequel to The Man From Snowy River. The music is a lot more developed whereas in the first score, Rowland had a lot of amazing themes, but they were all a little scattered and didn't mesh together very well. In The Return to Snowy River, Rowland develops his themes better, and includes more material making it more of a cohesive listening experience. This album has a new sonata, which is a delightful piano performance, a celtic themed cue (Pageant at Harrison's), and a sensational (and ten minute long), cue titled Farewell To An Old Friend. This one comes highly recommended especially if you enjoyed the themes in the prior score!
